The Brief
Assist the World Sailing media team and OBS teams in digitally covering the Sailing World Cup in Hyères through video, specifically advertising the live YouTube broadcast and providing a flavour of some of the behind the scenes action from the ground and sea.
There was some significant build up to racing, with not everyday being broadcast live, and World Sailing wanted both to inform and push fans to the live event - so they wanted a variety of videos including promos, recaps, previews, interviews and sizzles.
World Sailing hired a one person team, who handled producing, directing, shooting and editing of the videos.
The Result
On the racing days we handled pre- and post- race content and while live managed social clipping, using SnappyTV, to share highlights online, pushing to social allowing World Sailing to drive even more traffic to the live broadcast (which was available world wide for free on YouTube).
We provided everything that was requested, shooting and editing more than the videos per day World Sailing expected averaging around five. We also edited the videos, getting them live in around one hour from completing a shoot. Additionally we provided several live videos and covered a second angle for medal ceremonies.
The live YouTube broadcast numbers blew the World Sailing media team away and behind the scenes video views exceeded 65k, which crushed all expectations.
